About Dr. Ana Patricia Camacho, MD
Dr. Ana Patricia Camacho is a board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and dermatopathology. She has practiced dermatopathology for nearly a decade. Born and raised in Columbia, South America, Dr. Camacho earned her medical degree from Universidad Libre in Cali, Columbia. She completed her internship at Columbia’s San Ignacio Hospital, Javeriana University, and ultrasonography training at Vargas Hospital, Central University in Caracas, Venezuela.
Dr. Camacho completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology and a fellowship in surgical pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She performed her dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Texas in Dallas, with the world-famous Dr. Clay Cockrell.
Dr. Camacho has taught at the Grand Rapids Michigan Area Medical Education Center, Orlando Florida Regional Medical Center, University of Alabama, and University of Texas. Her articles are published in the American Academy of Clinical Pathologists and American Society of Dermatopathology meeting proceedings.
Dr. Camacho is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, College of American Pathologists, and Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
