Dr. Merrill graduated magna cum laude from Georgia Southern University, and completed medical school near the top of his class at Mercer University School of Medicine, where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society.
Dr. Merrill then completed his dermatology residency training at the University of Missouri, where he served as chief resident during his final year. He then pursued additional training at the University of Missouri where he completed an American College of Mohs Surgery accredited fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology.
