About Dr. Darren Mollick, MD
Darren Mollick, M.D., is a board-certified dermatologist providing medical care to patients in the New York area.
Dr. Darren Mollick was born and raised on Long Island. He graduated from Jericho High School in 1991 and then began his undergraduate studies in biology at Syracuse University. He graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse in 1995 and then enrolled in the College of Medicine of SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn in 1995 to begin his studies in medicine, where he was elected to the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, and became a second generation physician.
After completing his dermatology residency in 2003, he began a Mohs surgery Fellowship training program affiliated with SUNY Downstate which was completed in 2004. During this training program, sponsored by the American College of Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, he performed more than 1,000 cases of Mohs surgery and reconstruction for all types of skin cancer. He also was integral in starting the Mohs surgery unit at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
In addition to practicing surgical dermatology, Dr. Mollick has an interest in cosmetic dermatology. He performs various cosmetic procedures, such as laser surgery, Botox and dermal filler injections.
He actively lectures on the local and national level and teaches other physicians, medical students and physician assistant students. He has authored textbook chapters on skin cancer and medical journal articles in the dermatology literature.
