About Dr. David Byrne, MD

Dr. David Byrne is a dermatologist providing medical care to patients in the Bloomington, Indiana area.  Dr. Byrne is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Dermatopathology and is licensed to practice in Hawaii and Indiana.  He has been a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Indiana University since 1977.

Dr. Byrne earned M.S. (1962) and M.D. (1968) degrees from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque after earning a B.S. from Purdue University. He completed a surgical internship at University of Colorado and a residency at University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. For two years between his internship and residency he served as a medical officer in the U.S. Navy.  Some of his professional memberships include, the American Academy of Dermatology, Indiana State Medical Society and the American Academy of Dermatological Surgery.
