About Dr. David Enis, MD, PhD, FAAD
David Enis, MD, PhD, FAAD, is a board certified dermatologist who joined the Pennsylvania Dermatology Group in 2015.
Dr. Enis has co-authored many articles in peer-reviewed medical and science journals including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Blood (journal), and Journal of Experimental Medicine, and he has co-authored a review for Annual Review of Immunology. He has presented lectures at national and international meetings, including the American Academy of Dermatology, and multiple presentations at the Society of Investigative Dermatology, including a plenary presentation. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages, and his practice encompasses the full range of medical, pediatric, and surgical dermatology, including management of skin cancer.

Education & Training
Dr. Enis grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and graduated Summa Cum Laude as the top graduate in the Arts and Sciences from Southern Methodist University. He went on to pursue combined M.D. and Ph.D. degrees at Yale University School of Medicine. After graduating in 2006, he moved to Boston for a one-year internship in Internal Medicine at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He then completed his residency in Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, immediately after which he obtained his board certification from the American Board of Dermatology.
Dr. Enis remained at the University of Pennsylvania as a member of the Dermatology faculty for four years before joining Pennsylvania Dermatology Group. In addition to his own clinical practice at U. Penn, Dr. Enis was also involved in teaching residents and medical students. He has done groundbreaking research on signaling pathways in the development and function of the lymphatic system, work that will increase our understanding of many areas of skin disease and cancer metastasis. Awarded to innovative investigators and master clinicians in dermatology, in 2011 he was the recipient of Physician-Scientist Career Development Awards from both the Dermatology Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.
