Education & Training

Dr. Marafino grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago and graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Mary’s College of Notre Dame. She received her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in 1999 and was granted membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Dr. Marafino completed one year of internal medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in 2003, where she served as chief resident. She joined Dermatology Partners of the North Shore in 2003. Dr. Marafino is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the Chicago Dermatologic Society.
