About Dr. Heidi Donnelly, MD
Dr. Donnelly has dedicated her career to the treatment of skin cancer and photo-aging. Dr. Donnelly is the owner and Medical Director of Dayton Skin Care Specialists, which opened in the summer of 1998. Dr. Donnelly obtained her board certification in 1994 from the American Board of Dermatology.
Dr. Donnelly served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Rush-Presbyterian – St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago until 1997. After moving to Ohio, she became the Director of Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery for Wright State University. Dr. Donnelly has trained the WSU residents for the last 24 years. In addition, she has one of 75 fellowship programs for micrographic surgery in the United States.
Dr. Donnelly has served on various committees for the Mohs College, the professional organization for all fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons. She is president and founder of iTASC, a 501(c)3 that connects under-served skincare patients with a micrographic surgeon through a web-based platform.
Dr. Donnelly was voted Best Mohs Surgeon in the Dayton area by Dayton Magazine in 2021. Dr. Donnelly was also awarded the coveted Iron Surgeon title voted on by her peers in 2016. There are only two Iron Surgeon titles given to Mohs surgeons each year in the United States. Dr. Donnelly has completed an International course and is board-certified in Dermato-Oncology. She is the only Mohs surgeon in the Midwest who carries this certification. She has authored and published over 35 scientific book chapters and articles on Mohs and Dermatologic surgery.
