About Dr. John Abernethy, MD

Dr. John Abernethy received his B.S., M.D. and Ph.D. from Duke University. He completed a Fellowship in Dermatopathology at both the Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forest University and the Institute of Dermatopathology, Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Abernethy has served on the faculties of Duke University Medical Center, University of South Alabama Department of Pathology and the University of Pittsburgh Department of Pathology and Dermatology. He joined The Skin Surgery Center as Director of the Paraffin Lab in July of 2007.
