Dr. Mann’s practice focuses on the management of skin cancervenous disease, and cosmetic surgery. In addition to the full spectrum of surgical dermatology, Dr. Mann is an expert in all aspects of venous diseases– venous ulcers, varicose veins, and spider veins. She is well versed in the full range of venous treatments including endovenous ablation, duplex ultrasound, phlebectomy, and sclerotherapy. She also specializes in minimally invasive cosmetic surgery techniques such as Botoxfillers, scar revisions, and laser surgery.

She is a primary investigator on several research projects on skin cancer and venous disease, and has lectured nationally to physicians on these topics. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She is the principle author of two clinical textbooks used extensively in dermatology residency training.

Dr. Margaret Mann has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” in Dermatology every year for over a decade from 2008-2020.

Dr. Margaret Mann is the Co-Founder and the Director of Surgical and Aesthetic Services at Innova Dermatology.  Dr. Mann is a board-certified dermatologist with fellowship training in Mohs surgery, dermatologic surgery, cosmetic surgery and vein surgery.

Serving Hendersonville, Gallatin, Goodlettsville and the entire Sumner County area, Dr. Mann performs Mohs micrographic surgery and advanced reconstruction.  She is the only fellowship trained Mohs surgeons with over a decade of experience recognized by the American College of Mohs Surgery in Sumner County and the only physician certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.  Dr. Mann brings world-class experience from her extensive experience with minimally invasive cosmetic practices which includes a wide range of laser procedures, medical-grade peels and injectables such as Botox and fillers. She is also an expert in venous disease and performs the full spectrum of treatment for varicose veins including endovenous ablation, microphlebectomy and ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy. Dr. Mann is committed to bringing the highest level of dermatologic care to Middle Tennessee. Her attention to detail and personal approach to care allows her to provide optimal results to her surgical, cosmetic and medical dermatology patients.

Education & Training

BACKGROUND

Dr. Mann grew up in Huntington Beach, Orange County, California. She received her undergraduate training at Stanford University where she double majored in Biology and Psychology. She graduated a member of Phi Beta Kappa and received top honors for her research in Immunology.  Dr. Mann completed her medical education and dermatology specialty training at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She then completed a fellowship in Mohs Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery at the Center of Dermatologic and Cosmetic Surgery at Washington University. During her fellowship, Dr. Mann participated in over 1,000 cases of Mohs surgery and reconstructive surgery.  She also received extensive training in the treatment of venous disease and minimally invasive cosmetic surgery, refining her skills in endovenous ablation, sclerotherapy, lasers, Botox, and Fillers.

Prior to co-founding Innova Dermatology, Dr. Mann was the Director of Aesthetic Dermatology at University Hospitals Case Medical Center.  She is also the Associate Director of Dermatologic Surgery and an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine.   She accepted these positions after leading as Chief of Clinical Services in the Department of Dermatology at the University of California, Irvine. She was also the Co-Director of Dermatologic and Cosmetic Surgery and the Mohs Surgery Fellowship Program at UC Irvine. She served on the Board of Directors of the California Society Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Vein and Lymphatic Society as well as being an exam writer for the associated American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine.
