About Dr. Mark Wallis, MD

After completing his undergraduate work at Texas A&M University, Dr. Mark Wallis earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science
Center in San Antonio in 1988. Four years later, he completed his dermatology residency at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences in Little Rock.

In practice since 1992, Dr. Wallis stays abreast of the latest technological advances in his field with active memberships in the Texas Medical Association, Gregg County Medical Society, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, Texas Dermatological Society, American Society of Micrographic Surgery, American Contact Dermatitis Society, the National Psoriasis Foundation. Dr. Wallis is also vice-president of the dermatology section of the Christian Medical and Dental Association. He is also a Fellow in the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Wallis stays very active in the community as a deacon and Bible study teacher with Mobberly Baptist Church and board member of Jericho Road Ministries.

Dr. Wallis and his wife, Traci, have three children: Luke, Logan and Lydia. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, computers, reading history, and travel. Medical missions are an important part of his practice life, as well.
