Dr. Pilest completed his three years of residency in Dermatology at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. He has practiced dermatology in California for over 29 years. Dr. Pilest is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

For 15 years Dr. Pilest treated patients at the world-famous Beckman Laser Institute

Consumer Business Review named Dr. Pilest as Dermatologist of the Year for 2005. Dr. Pilest was chosen as one of the best Doctors in Orange County by area physicians. The survey was given by the Washington DC based Center for Study of Services (CSS). He is listed in the "Best Doctors Book" for 2000-2001 and 2004-2005.
Dr. Pilest was recently chosen as one of only 86 physicians throughout the country to serve as a member of the Medical Education Faculty for Radiesse. As a specially selected MEF, he will be responsible for certifying other physicians in the use of Bioform's Radiesse long-term injectible product.

In 2007 and 2008 Dr. Pilest has received the prestigious Thermage Pinnacle Award and the exclusive "Black Card" Expert Physician Award from Radiesse.
