About Dr. Norman Lockshin, MD
Dr. Norman A. Lockshin earned his A.B. at Washington and Jefferson College in 1963. In 1967 he was graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. His internship was completed at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois during 1967-1968. Following his internship, Dr. Lockshin spent two years with the United States Public Health Service in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Lockshin completed his dermatology residency at the University of Pennsylvania from 1970-1973. From 1973-1974, he was on the teaching staff of the department of dermatology of the University of Pennsylvania. He opened his dermatology practice in 1974 in Silver Spring, Maryland. In addition, he has been on the teaching staff of Georgetown University Department of Dermatology for the past 30 years. For several years he was also on the teaching staff of the Department of Dermatology at Johns Hopkins University. A Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, he has also been one of the top physicians listed in the Washingtonian magazine for more than ten years and voted by his peers as one of the top dermatologist in Washington Checkbook magazine.
