About Dr. Omar Qutub, MD
Dr. Omar Qutub is a board certified dermatologist and is also a Portland native, born near downtown Portland at Emmanuel Hospital, and raised in the suburbs of the city.
At the University of Oregon where he attended college, he was a Presidential Scholar and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in both Chemistry and Business Administration. He then completed his medical education in Washington, DC at the historic Howard University College of Medicine followed by a medical internship at the Johns Hopkins University- Sinai Hospital program in Baltimore. Completion of his dermatology residency was at the Howard University Hospital and Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Dr. Qutub is formally trained in all aspects of dermatology: medical, surgical, as well as cosmetic dermatology and he enjoys the variety and breadth as well as challenges that the specialty has to offer. Often complimented for his thoroughness and approachable bedside manner, he created Dermatology By Design in order to better serve his patients according to their individual needs.
Dr. Qutub strives to deliver quality care for all patients and clients that are looking for a more individualized approach to their dermatologic care and skin needs. He understands that patients have varying desires and goals, some which may warrant more unique and nuanced approaches to achieve complete skin health.
