A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Lifshitz received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was selected as a University Scholar and Pennsylvania Medical Scholar. As an undergraduate at Penn, he was awarded a stipend to perform basic science research in developmental biology.
In 2002, Dr. Lifshitz received his medical degree (MD) from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. At UT Med, Dr. Lifshitz earned the MD Anderson Cancer Center summer research stipend.
Dr. Lifshitz completed his internal medicine internship and a dermatology residency training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland.
