About Dr. Sarolta Szabo, MD

Dr. Sarolta Szabo is a board-certified Dermatologist and Dermatologic Surgeon. She specializes in skin cancer prevention and treatment, as well as minimally invasive cosmetic procedures. She is experienced in surgical and non-surgical skin-cancer therapies, as well as full body skin cancer screenings, and the diagnosis and treatment of all skin abnormalities, including rosacea and acne.

Because of her extensive experience in cosmetic dermatology, patients seek her advice and treatment on a variety of anti-aging procedures. Dr. Szabo specializes in Botox Cosmetic, dermal fillers, and care of sun damaged skin. Patients enjoy the extra time she spends on counseling and educating them about their options.

Dr. Szabo was born and raised in Szeged, Hungary. She graduated cum laude from the Medical School of University of Szeged in 1995. She finished number 12 of her medical school class. During her Medical School she has received multiple, very distinguished and competitive awards for clinical and research rotation in the European Union counties such as England, Germany, Sweden, Greece and Portugal.

Dr. Szabo completed her internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Dermatology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She received many distinguished awards during her residency, including one from the National Institute of Health. She also received an award of excellence in dermatopathology at the annual meeting of the American Society for Dermatopathology. During her final year of residency, she was appointed to the leadership role of Academic Chief Resident.

Dr. Szabo conducted 2 years of basic dermatological research and 2 years of clinical research at Case Western in Cleveland. During that time, she participated as co-investigator in more than 15 clinical trials. As an experienced researcher, Dr. Szabo is a published author in scientific journals and textbooks. In addition, she is a national lecturer and a reviewer of peer-reviewed professional dermatology publications including the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.

She stays up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of dermatology by receiving over 30 to 40 hours of continuing education per year and stays current in therapeutics and technologies by attending local and national meetings. She maintains active memberships in numerous prestigious professional organizations such as the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Women’s Dermatologic Society, National Psoriasis Foundation, and remains active with the Colorado Dermatologic Society and the Colorado Medical Society..Dr. Szabo volunteers with the American Academy of Dermatology providing annual skin cancer screenings in the south Denver metro area.

In her time away from the office, Dr. Szabo enjoys running, skiing, tennis, traveling and spending time with her husband and two sons.
