Dr. Soheil Simzar, MD

Dr. Simzar began his medical studies at Van Nuys Medical Magnet High School, graduating in the top 1% of his class. He received his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from University of California at Los Angeles and graduated summa cum laude on the Dean’s Honor List and, as one of the nation’s top graduates, was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Simzar received his Doctor of Medicine at UCLA, and was a Resident Physician in Internal Medicine at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. At Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, he continued his Residency in Dermatology and was Chief Resident of Dermatology, while also accomplishing a Preceptorship in Cosmetic and Surgical Dermatology with Drs. Mitchell Goldman M.D. and Kimberly Butterwick M.D. He was awarded the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Preceptorship Award while refining his expertise in Mohs Micrographic Surgery.

Within weeks of graduating residency, Dr. Simzar became a clinical instructor of dermatology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA where he teaches medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology to the dermatology residents and medical students. He is an experienced researcher, has authored in numerous prestigious medical publications, and has presented at national conferences.
