About Dr. Stephanie Hu, MD

Stephanie Hu, MD is a board-certified dermatologist providing care to patients at Metro Dermatology with special interests in adult and pediatric dermatology, as well as cosmetic dermatology and dermatopathology.

Dr. Hu graduated with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and received the prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellowship and the President’s Award for Academic Excellence. Dr. Hu then went on to receive her medical degree (MD) from Harvard Medical School and was awarded numerous grants and fellowships for medical research prior to completing her dermatology residency at New York University in the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology.

Dr. Hu has published over 20 academic papers and delivered even more presentations and lectures both regionally and nationally. She has served as author and editor of numerous textbooks within the field of dermatology.

While Dr. Hu gained a comprehensive background in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, she elected to complete an extra year of fellowship training in dermatopathology at NYU, which provides her with additional expertise to diagnose skin cancers and complex dermatologic conditions under the microscope.

We provide services in general dermatology, pediatric dermatology, cutaneous surgery, photo-medicine, dermatopathology, skin laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.

Our physicians have been trained at the top dermatology residency programs in the country. All of our physicians are board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Two of our physicians are also board certified in dermatopathology. Our Physician Assistants are top graduates of most competitive PA programs in the country and have completed rigorous dermatology specific training before treating patients under the strict guidance of our board certified dermatologists.

We strive to be easily accessible to our patients by accepting most insurances. Our providers and staff speak multiple languages and strive to be culturally sensitive. We open early and have evening and weekend hours in clean and modern facilities.
