About Dr. Steven Mings, MD

Steven Mings, MD is a Board-Certified Dermatologist providing medical care to patients in the Boise area at Gem State Dermatology.

Dr. Mings graduated Magna Cum Laude from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Chemistry and minor in Physics before receiving his medical degree (MD) from the University of Washington (UW) School of Medicine where he graduated with honors. He completed his medical internship through the University of Washington and a dermatology residency at the State University of New York (SUNY) in Buffalo.

Dr. Mings enjoys teaching and currently holds teaching appointments through the Universities of Washington and Utah.

Dr. Mings is currently serving as the Department Chair of Dermatology Services at the Boise VA Medical Center and has served in multiple leadership positions for various dermatology organizations.
