Dr. Detwiler graduated from The Bishop's School in La Jolla prior to getting her undergraduate degree from Princeton University. She then attended medical school at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and completed her dermatology residency in North Carolina. She then went on for additional training, completing Fellowship in dermatopathology at Stanford University.

DMG specializes in the full spectrum of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, including Mohs micrographic surgery and Xoft brachytherapy, which are considered the most effective treatments for common types of skin cancer. Patients are often prescribed new medications as soon as they become available, and all offi ces are outfi tted with the newest equipment. DMG offers light and laser therapy and cosmetic treatments, including Botox, fi llers, intense pulsed light, laser hair removal, microneedling, and peels.
