Sylvia W. Wright, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist who's been part of our Atlanta dermatology team since 1997. Sylvia W. Wright, M.D.'s world-class medical education is punctuated by her numerous professional accolades. As a 4th generation physician, Sylvia W. Sylvia W. Wright, M.D. enrolled at Emory University in 1983 as a member of the prestigious Emory Scholars Program. During her college years, she was inducted into the Alpha Epsilon Delta Science Honor Society and was consistently included on the dean's list for academic excellence. After graduating from Emory in 1987, Sylvia W. Wright, M.D. spent 2 years performing both basic science and clinical research. In 1989, she entered Meharry Medical College, where she received numerous academic honors and awards, including induction into Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society – the highest academic honor that can be bestowed upon a medical student. In May of 1993, Sylvia W. Wright, M.D. earned her medical degree and became the fourth generation of her family to graduate from Meharry Medical College.

In 1994, Sylvia W. Wright, M.D. began a 3-year dermatology residency program at Harvard Medical School, where she had the honor of serving as chief resident for the 1996-1997 academic year. Since joining Peachtree Dermatology Associates in 1997, Sylvia W. Wright, M.D. has lectured nationwide on a variety of topics and has served as president of the Atlanta Dermatological Association. She has a special interest in medical and cosmetic dermatology, including skin cancer therapy, anti-aging therapy, laser treatments, BOTOX® Cosmetic, and fillers.
