Physician assistants have been practicing with dermatologist for over twenty years, providing a wide variety of services, including diagnosing illness, writing prescriptions, ordering and interpreting lab tests, wound suturing, and medical and surgical treatment of a wide variety of clinical pathology. While only 1% of physicians are dermatologists, over 3% of PAs work in dermatology, demonstrating great value in serving patients with skin diseases.
