About Dr. Jagadeesh Kumar, MD
Dr. Kumar specializes in General Dermatology and Skin surgery, as well as skin cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Dr Kumar moved to this area after working at MD Dermatology of Maryland in Southern Maryland where he worked as a Staff Physician. Dr. Kumar completed his medical training in 1996 from Mysore University in India and then he underwent a residency in Dermatology from 1996 to 1998 in New Delhi, India, after which Dr. Kumar worked as Senior House Officer in General Medicine as well as Dermatology in England and achieved a prestigious board certification by the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom. He also holds Diploma in Dermatology from University of London.
He came to United States in 2001 where he completed a Residency at the Cleveland Clinic health system in Ohio. Dr. Kumar was honored as BEST RESIDENT, 2002-2003 from the Cleveland Clinic Hospitals. In addition, he scored in the top 1% on his board exam, which included all US physicians taking their boards in 2003. Dr Kumar has vast experience in Dermatology and Medicine, he was in private practice for 4 years in Phoenix, Arizona and then he completed a fellowship in Ambulatory Dermatology in southern Maryland.
Dr Kumar is married and has 2 daughters. He lives with his wife and daughters in Hockeissin, Delaware. Dr Kumar spends his spare time by playing Tennis, watching TV with his daughters, going to Gym and jogging.
