Dr. Barlow first came to Arizona to attend the University of Arizona for a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry. He completed his medical internship and Dermatology residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale.

His ACMMSCO Fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive surgery, and procedural dermatology was under the direction of Dr. Pearon G. Lang and Dr. Joel Cook, Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston.
