Dr. Gross is presently Clinical Professor of Medicine (Division of Dermatology) at the School of Medicine, University of California, San Diego (non-salaried). He is dermatology-surgery (Mohs Surgery) attending at the Veterans Administration Hospital in La Jolla. He was co-founder of the Metro League of the American Cancer Society and founder of the San Diego Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Gross is on staff at the Veterans Administration Hospital and Mercy Hospital.
Dr. Gross is co-author of a textbook on Mohs surgery: Fundamentals and Techniques of Mohs Surgery by Mosby Publishers, 1999 in its second printing.
Dr. Gross's second textbook : "Mohs Surgery and Histopathology--Beyond the Fundamentals" by Cambridge University Press was published in 2009
