Dr. Abrams grew up in New Jersey. She received her undergraduate degree from The College of William and Mary. Following medical school, Dr. Abrams completed a pediatric residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. In 2005, she moved to Chicago and spent two years conducting clinical dermatologic research under the mentorship of Dr. Amy Paller at Northwestern University, where she stayed to complete a dermatology residency and a pediatric dermatology fellowship. Following her training, she worked for two years at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin as an academic pediatric dermatologist.
