About Dr. Michael Whitworth, DO

Dr. Whitworth has been a member of the Grekin Skin Institute and Advanced Dermatology of Michigan since 2003. He has performed thousands of Mohs micrographic surgery procedures. He is an active fellow member of the American Society for Mohs Surgery and is board certified in Mohs surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology. 

Dr. Whitworth graduated from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2002. He was chief resident in dermatology at Oakwood Southshore/Michigan State University in 2007. He has several publications, including Cutis and the Journal of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and has done multiple presentations at Dermatologic Society meetings locally and nationally. In addition, Dr. Whitworth has trained resident physicians as a clinical preceptor in the Beaumont Southshore Dermatology Program since 2008.
