Dr. Ranella Hirsch, MD is a board-certified dermatologist providing care to patients in the Cambridge, MA area.

Dr. Hirsch often lectures to physicians in the fields of laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology, and is currently involved in a number of clinical studies of novel laser technologies and skin care. She is the author of many scientific articles, abstracts, and textbook chapters and serves on the editorial boards of several leading dermatology journals including Dermatology Times, Cosmetic Dermatology, Skin and Aging, and Cutis

She is also a principal investigator for a number of prominent laser companies.

Dr. Hirsch  completed a three year term of service as the Scope of Practice Committee Chair for the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and was an honored recipient of the 2007 President’s Award for her work on patient safety.

Dr. Ranella Hirsch received her medical degree from the State University of New York School of Medicine. She completed an internship in internal medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine, residency training in dermatology at the State University of New York, and advanced laser and cosmetic dermatology training at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard Medical School. She is currently on faculty at the Boston University School of Medicine.
