About Dr. Virginia Reeder, MD, FAAD

Dr. Reeder attended the University of Virginia, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and earned multiple honors including her undergraduate degree with Distinction with a Major in History and a Minor in French. 

She received her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, where she became a member of Alpha Omega Alpha and graduated Magna Cum Laude.  She then completed two years of residency training in the Department of Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham as well as a Dermatology residency at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was Chief Resident.

She also completed a fellowship in photomedicine, lasers and follicular disorders in the Department of Dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She has authored numerous textbook chapters and articles in peer reviewed journals.

Additionally, she has given presentations at various national and international Dermatology conferences. She enjoys treating patients of all ages, including children and adults.
